Who we are
forma is a small, international studio specialising in sustainable and energy-efficient residential design. We collaborate closely with clients to craft bespoke spaces that reflect individual preferences and enhance quality of life, all while thoughtfully integrating with the surrounding environment.
Our designs are created to maximise natural light, warmth, and views, resulting in homes that are both comfortable and deeply connected to their surroundings. We offer a variety of architectural services with a particular focus on early-stage design, including concept development and securing planning permission.

Our values
At forma, we believe that exceptional design should be accessible to everyone, regardless of location. Operating entirely remotely, we collaborate with clients across the globe, from the UK to the rest of Europe, the US, and beyond.

Approach
We create spaces that are aesthetically compelling and contextually responsive. Each project begins with a careful analysis of the site’s historical, cultural, and environmental background. We explore form, scale, orientation, natural light, views, and materials to create homes that are beautifully resolved and respond appropriately to their surroundings.
To maintain quality and clarity throughout, we follow the RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) Plan of Work – a structured framework that guides each stage of the design and construction process. Click below to learn more about how we work.
Portfolio
Our portfolio spans residential projects across the UK, Europe, and the US, showcasing our expertise in bespoke design. From new-build homes and thoughtful extensions to renovations that revitalise older properties, each project reflects our commitment to quality and innovation.
We’ve also designed annexes, ADUs, garden rooms, a serene yoga studio, and a striking two-storey indoor climbing wall. Explore more of our work via the link below.
